Well, here's the first phase of family photos a little behind
schedule. There were so many photos to browse through that
deciding what did and didn't belong on the site had to go
to the wayside in order to keep momentum. The second part
of the process was to decide how to present the photos and
in what format.
There are so many ways to do this so I based the approach
on these of criteria: (1) The photos should be easy to view
(2) the quality should be good (3) the time it takes to display
the photos should not be inordinate (4) the photos should
be representative of the Ivicivic-Bakulic family historically
and internationally.
Bearing this in mind it seemed best to limit the number of
photos per page and present them in thumbnail (small &
lo-res) no more than four per page. The larger versions would
be of good quality in *.JPG format with a compression ratio
of 80 to 90% and a smoothing factor of no more than 2.
We'll see how this turns out once they've been posted; in
the meantime if you want higher resolution (which means larger
files) email me with your requests and I'll set up an FTP
site that you can log-in to and download the original scanned
image (if I have it)
