Intermedia web hosting services

Cyberclan is hosted on Intermedia (click on the icon to go there). This is the hosting service that I publish our family website to, and use to make our site come alive. Intermedia is a great host. If you have any plans to host a website, or know of someone who will be doing so, please consider them as a candidates. Our current site configuration is as follows:

Macromedia
 Macromedia® is the company that develops and markets the integrated web-authoring tools I use to design and publish this site. In my opinion they have the best suite of design and website enhancement tools around. If you know of any that are better, I'd be interested in seeing them up close and personal.
Macromedia Dreamweaver
 Dreamweaver is the application I use for the main site layout and page design. This is the hottest design tool available on the web, click on the icon for more information.
Macromedia Fireworks
 Fireworks is the application I use to create the graphics you see on the site. The Cyberclan logo, backgrounds, photo sizing and many other items are created in Fireworks.
Macromedia Flash
 Flash is the application I use to creat animations for our family website. Flash is the hottest tool for designing interactive sites with animation and an animation driven interface.
Macromedia Dreamweaver UltraDev
 Dreamweaver Ultra-dev is a database driven site authoring tool that brings to bear the advantages of a database driven site, with maintaining an elegant and easy to use interface.
Macromedia-Allaire Cold Fusion
ColdFusion is the leading cross-platform Web application server, ColdFusion is the fastest way to develop and deliver scalable Web applications. Coupled with the Macromedia tools I use ColdFusion delivers excellent database driven websites.
CorelDraw9 Corel Draw Graphics Suite is one of the most powerful programs available for editing photo images and adding effects to them. I use this to compress the size of the files I am publishing to our website, and also to clean up the scans of photos that we use on the site.
Zone Labs manufactures an excellent product called ZoneAlarm Pro™ which provides a very robust and flexible firewall for users of highspeed connections such as ISDN, aDSL, sDSL, Cable and T1. The security provided by this product for persistant connections is phenomenal and the price is right. If you have a high speed connection I highly suggest that you visit Zone Labs and download the Freeware version of this product. Once you start using it you'll go back and purchase the retail version.
